Evangelism Trip Aluakluak & Mapordit, Sudan
In January, 2003 Rev. Manoah Modi Alimasi and his 19 person evangelism team (18 men and 2 women) traveled to Mapordit and Aluakluak in Yerol County, Sudan. Bishop Taban did not go on this trip. The team left Yei, Sudan on January 18 and returned on February 1. The JESUS Film was shown daily to large crowds of over 3,000 per night. During this evangelism trip 13,750 people were born again as new believers in Jesus. Approximately 60% of the new believers had been animists, and 20% had been Muslims. The Dinka tribe was reached during this trip.
Regarding follow-up, the new believers were handed over to the Episcopal Church of Sudan (ECS) churches in Yerol County. The evangelism team distributed 350 Bibles in the Dinka language to born again believers who could read. Of the 350 Bibles, 100 Bibles were distributed to church leaders and evangelists
