Evangelism Trip Moyo, Uganda
In May, 2003 Pastor Peter Felex and his 9 person evangelism team traveled 1 day southeast to Moyo, Uganda. Years ago Pastor Felex helped Bishop Taban start the first Presbyterian church in Yei. The team left Yei, Sudan on May 1 and returned on May 19. The JESUS Film was shown in Moyo and the villages surrounding Moyo in the Madi language. The team used one of our two projectors to show the JESUS Film. During this evangelism trip a total of 7,900 people were born again as new believers in Jesus. Approximately 30% of the new believers had been animists, and 5% had been Muslims. The Madi tribe was primarily reached during this trip.
Regarding follow-up, some of the new believers were handed over to the Church of Uganda (Anglican), some to the National Pentecostal Church, and some to the African Inland Church. The evangelism team distributed 300 Bibles in the Madi language to born again believers who could read.
The breakdown of expenditures for this evangelism trip is as follows:
| Fuel for the Truck | $120 |
| Pay for Truck Driver | $40 |
| Pay for the Evangelists (10 x $30) | $300 |
| Food and accommodations for Evangelists | $850 |
