Evangelism Trip Tambura, Diabio, Yangiri, Moso and Mupio, Sudan
In October, 2003 Evangelist John Towongo and his 9 person evangelism team traveled 2 1/2 days west to Tambura, Diabio, Yangiri, Moso, and Mupio, Sudan. The team left Yei, Sudan on October 17 and returned on October 31. During this evangelism trip a total of 6,200 people indicated they received Christ. Approximately 60% of the new believers had been animists, and 5% had been Muslims. The JESUS Film was shown in the Zande language. The tribe reached was the Zande. Also, some people were healed of various illnesses.
One new Presbyterian Church was planted during this evangelism trip in Mupoi. Follow-up of the new believers will be handled by the new Presbyterian Church, and the Episcopal Church of Sudan. The evangelism team distributed 100 Bibles in the Zande language to believers who could read.
