Evangelism Trip – Morobo County, Sudan
In June, 2004 Pastor John Abudalah and his 9 person evangelism team traveled south to Morobo, Aboroto, Pabanga, Kendila, Gulumbi, and Jombu, Sudan. The team left Yei, Sudan on June 4 and returned on June 30.
The results of what God did through the evangelism team are listed below:
| Town | Indicated Decisions for Christ |
|---|---|
| Morobo | 250 |
| Aboroto | 450 |
| Jombu | 750 |
| Gulumbi | 620 |
| Kendila | 1,300 |
| Pabanga | 900 |
| Total | 4,270 |
Approximately 30% of the new believers had been animists, and 2% had been Muslims. The JESUS Film was shown in the Kakwa language to the Kakwa, Lugbara, and Kaliko tribes.
Two new Presbyterian churches were planted in Pabanga and Kendila. Follow-up of the new believers will be handled by the new Presbyterian churches, the Episcopal Church of Sudan(ECS), the ECS Charismatic Church, and the Sudan Pentecostal Church(SPC). A total of 300 bibles were distributed in the Bari language.
A follow-up trip is planned soon to officially plant another Presbyterian church in Morobo alongside an orphanage that will be built in Morobo town later this year. Finally, some people testified that they were healed of various physical ailments during the evangelism trip.
