Evangelism Trip Isiro, Niangara, Kpele, Dungu, DRC
In September, 2004 Pastor Manoah Alimasi and his 15 person evangelism team traveled 2 days southwest to Isiro, Niangara, and Kpele, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The team left Yei, Sudan on September 15 and returned on October 16. The JESUS Film was shown in the Lingala language.
The results of what God did through the evangelism team are listed below:
| Location | Indicated Decisions for Christ |
| Isiro East | 6,700 |
| Isiro West | 5,000 |
| Niangara | 1,800 |
| Kpele | 1,950 |
| Dungu | 1,200 |
| Total | 16,650 |
Approximately 55% of the new believers had been animists and 3% had been Muslims. The Bazande, Mulendu, and Logo tribes were primarily reached during this trip.
Regarding follow-up, the new believers were handed over to the Community Evangelical Church of the Congo, the Pentecostal Church of Congo, and the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. The evangelism team distributed 450 bibles in the Lingala language. Many miracles took place during the trip including one deaf person who was prayed for and was able to hear again. This miracle happened in Isiro West, and it caused quite a stir among the people.
Niangara, Kpele and Dungu were visited previously by our teams in April of 2004. Also, Dungu was visited even earlier in May 2003. Therefore, our teams held discipleship training for the Christians in those villages. Discipleship training concentrated on the following verses: Romans 6:3-4, 1 Peter 3:21, 1 Cor 10:2 and 12:13, Col 3:12, and Gal 3:27.
