Approximately 40% of the new believers had been animists, and 15% had been Muslims. The JESUS Film was shown in the Bari language to the Kakwa and Pojulu tribes. Follow-up of the new believers will be handled by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the Church of God, the Sudan Pentecostal Church, and the Episcopal Church of Sudan. The team reports that all of our Jesus Film planted churches in this area are doing fine. A total of 1,000 bibles were distributed in the Bari language.
In each of the villages of Gimunu, Payawa, and Alero the team taught 2 days of discipleship training in the topics listed below:
- What is the flesh? 1st Thessalonians 5:23, 1st Corinthians 15:50, John 3:6
- What is the soul? Hebrews 1:4, Romans 8:5-8
- What is the spirit? John 3:5-6, Genesis 2:7, Genesis 6:3, Acts 1, 2
The team reported that many sick people were healed after the team prayed individually for each sick person.
