Approximately 50% of the new believers had been animists, and 5% had been Muslims. Also about 55% of the new believers were Lugbara and Madi Ugandans. The remainder of the new believers were Sudanese refugees waiting for the United Nations to return them to Sudan. The JESUS Film was shown in the Lugbara, Madi, and Kakwa languages to mainly the Madi, Acholi, Lugbara, and Kakwa tribes. EPC Uganda and the Church of Uganda will be in charge of the majority of the follow-up work with the new believers. A total of 450 bibles were distributed with 150 bibles distributed in each of the Lugbara, Madi, and Kakwa languages.
