Approximately 70% of the new believers had been animists, and 2% had been Muslims. The JESUS Film was shown in the Lingala language to the Mundu, Makaraka, Avokaya, and Baka tribes. Lingala is a widely spoken language in this area of Sudan and in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Follow-up of the new believers will be handled by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church and the Sudan Pentecostal Church.
A total of 1,000 New Testament bibles were distributed in the Mundu language (see photo below). This was the first time that most of these villagers had seen the Mundu New Testament. The New Testament was first translated into the Mundu language only last year in 2005. There was much joy, dancing, and singing when the Mundu villagers received their bibles.

During this trip there was much discipleship teaching. Two of the topics that our team taught on are listed below:
- The Way of the Cross Following Jesus seems easy enough at first, but it soon becomes apparent that being a committed disciple of Jesus involves far more than the initial decision to accept Christ. (Matt. 8:34-38, 10:32-35, 16:24-26, 20:17-28; Luke 9:23-25, 16:13; John 12:25, 26, 13:1-20), and
- Counting the Cost of Following Jesus (Matt. 19:20, Mark 10:21, Luke 14:28,33, 18:22)
