Approximately 65% of the new believers had been animists, and 5% had been Muslims. The JESUS Film was shown in the Lingala language to the Mundu, Baka, Avokaya, and Zande tribes. Follow-up of the new believers will be handled by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the Episcopal Church of Sudan, and the Sudan Pentecostal Church. A total of 600 bibles were distributed in the Lingala language.
Discipleship follow-up training was conducted on the topic of How to Handle Spiritual Trials. The following verses were used in this teaching: 1 Peter 4:12-13,16; Isaiah 43:2-3; Psalm 69:14-18; Psalm 31:1-5,7-8; James 1:12,24; Job 1:20-22; Job 13:15-16; Job 23:10-11.
The team encountered some small groups of the Lords Resistance Army(LRA) along the way, but they did not interfere with the team. Because of the ceasefire, no fighting is going on in this area.
