Click for locator map...In December, 2007 Evangelist Thomas Lubari and his 9 person evangelism team traveled north to Lakamadi, Kasiko, Tali Post, and Madbar, Sudan. The team left Yei, Sudan on November 25 and returned on December 20.

The results of what God did through the evangelism team are listed below:

Village Indicated Decisions For Christ
Lakamadi 6,800
Kasiko 5,000
Tali Post 3,500
Madbar 4,300
Total 19,600

Approximately 65% of the new believers had been animists, and 5% had been Muslims. The JESUS Film was shown in the Bari language to mainly the Mundari and Nyagwara tribes. Follow-up of the new believers will be handled by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the Episcopal Church of Sudan, and the Sudan Pentecostal Church. A total of 400 bibles were distributed in the Bari language.

Discipleship follow-up training was conducted on “Righteous Living for Christ’s Sake.” In our relationship with our Master we have opted for righteous living because of our obedience to him:

  1. For Christ’s sake you will have to face persecution (Matthew 5:11).
  2. For Christ’s sake you will have to face hatred (Matthew 10:22).
  3. For Christ’s sake you must be willing to face the possibility of losing your life (Matthew 10:37-39).
  4. For Christ’s sake you must be willing to renounce worldly treasures (Matthew 6:19).
  5. For Christ’s sake you must be willing to face suffering (Philippians 1:29).
  6. For Christ’s sake you must be willing to face loss of reputation (1 Corinthians 4:10).
