In February, 2008 Evangelist Thomas Kur and his 9 person evangelism team traveled northeast to Kodok, Fashoda, Lui, and Lelo, Sudan. The team left Yei, Sudan on February 11 and returned on March 10.

Approximately 65% of the new believers had been animists, and 20% had been Muslims. The JESUS Film was shown in the Arabic and Dinka languages to mainly the Dinka and Shilluk tribes. One new church was planted in Fashoda. Follow-up of the new believers will be done by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church and the Episcopal Church of Sudan. A total of 600 bibles were distributed in the Arabic language. Discipleship follow-up was conducted during the day and evangelism was conducted at night. A main topic of discussion was Understanding the Nature of the Church.
