Evangelism and Discipleship Training Trip Bazi, Kegeji, Romu, Kaliga, Aju, Ulupe, Uriga, Kibi, Waiba, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)
In October, 2008 Pastor Charles Towongo and his 9 person evangelism team traveled south to the Bazi, Kegeji, Romu, Kaliga, Aju, Ulupe, Uriga, Kibi, and Waiba, DRC. The team left Yei, Sudan on October 10 and returned on November 15.
The results of what God did through the evangelism team are listed below:

Approximately 60% of the new believers had been animists, and 5% had been Muslims. The JESUS Film was shown in the Lingala language to the Kakwa and Kaliko tribes. Three new churches were planted in Kegeji, Ulupe, and Kaliga. Follow-up of the new believers will be handled by the Community Evangelical Church of the Congo and the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of the Congo. A total of 600 bibles were distributed in the Lingala language.
Discipleship training was conducted on Understanding Our Salvation. The following verses were used in this teaching: Romans 6:11,23; Exodus 12:23; Acts 4:12.
