Evangelism and Discipleship Training Trip – Aba, Diswitti, Yaganakamga, Ima, Sudan
In February, 2009 Pastor Silvano Ayinya and his 9 person evangelism team traveled west to Aba, Diswitti, Yaganakamga, and Ima, Sudan. The team left Yei, Sudan on February 10 and returned on March 15.
The results of what God did through the evangelism team are listed below:
| Village | Indicated Decisions For Christ |
| Aba | 950 |
| Diswitti | 6,500 |
| Yaganakamga | 4,200 |
| Ima | 3,000 |
| Total | 14,650 |
Approximately 65% of the new believers had been animists, and 2% had been Muslims. The JESUS Film was shown in the Lingala language to mainly the Kakwa, Mundu, and Logo tribes. One new church was planted in Diswitti. Follow-up of the new believers will be done by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the Pentecostal Church of Congo, and the CECA. A total of 400 Lingala bibles were distributed.
Most of the decisions for Christ were from refugees from LRA operations in Congo. There is now a refugee camp for 7,200 Congolese refugees just inside Sudan near Nyori, Sudan.
Discipleship training was based on the following verses: Exodus 15:2, 2 Samuel 22:3, Psalm 37:39, Isaiah 33:6, Luke 3:3-6; 19:9-10.
