Evangelism and Discipleship Training Trip – Maker, Jekau, Pajak, Maiwut, Kigille, Sudan
In May, 2009 Evangelist Salah Gai and his 9 person evangelism team traveled northeast to Maker, Jekau, Pajak, Maiwut, and Kigille, Sudan. The team left Yei, Sudan on May 10 and returned on June 9.
The results of what God did through the evangelism team are listed below:

Approximately 65% of the new believers had been animists, and 12% had been Muslims. The JESUS Film was shown in the Nuer language to mainly the Nuer tribe. One new church was planted in Maiwut. Follow-up of the new believers will be done by the Presbyterian Church of Sudan, the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the Sudan Pentecostal Church, and the Episcopal Church of Sudan. A total of 400 bibles were distributed in the Nuer language.
Discipleship training was based on the following topics:
- Authority of Scripture - 2 Timothy 3:16-17
- Fellowship With God and Other Believers - 1 John 1:3
- Witnessing for Jesus - 1 Peter 3:15
- The Obedient Christian - John 14:21
