Evangelism and Discipleship Training Trip –Waat, Thol, Lankien, Nyirol, Sudan
In May, 2009 Evangelist Aban Paul and his 9 person evangelism team traveled northeast to Waat, Thol, Lankien, and Nyirol, Sudan. The team left Yei, Sudan on May 10 and returned on June 9.
The results of what God did through the evangelism team are listed below:

Approximately 60% of the new believers had been animists, and 5% had been Muslims. The JESUS Film was shown in the Nuer language to mainly the Nuer tribe. Follow-up of the new believers will be done by the Presbyterian Church of Sudan and the Episcopal Church of Sudan. A total of 500 bibles were distributed in the Nuer language.
The team reported that 20 armed cattle rustlers repented and accepted Christ. They handed their arms over to the police and promised to not rustle cattle for the rest of their lives.
Discipleship training was based on the following topics:
- Authority of Scripture - 2 Timothy 3:16-17
- Fellowship With God and Other Believers - 1 John 1:3
- Witnessing for Jesus - 1 Peter 3:15
- The Obedient Christian - John 14:21
