Evangelism and Discipleship Training Trip – Maridi, Rastigi, Manikakara, Ibba, Bobodi, Wowo, Embe, Nanunde, Angutua, Sudan
In June, 2009 Evangelist Michael Alias and his 9 person evangelism team traveled northwest to Maridi, Rastigi, Manikakara, Ibba, Bobodi, Wowo, Embe, Nanunde, and Angutua, Sudan. The team left Yei, Sudan on June 9 and returned on July 15.
The results of what God did through the evangelism team are listed below:

Approximately 65% of the new believers had been animists, and 10% had been Muslims. The JESUS Film was shown in the Zande and Lingala languages to mainly the Zande, Baka, and Mundu tribes. Follow-up of the new believers will be done by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the Sudan Pentecostal Church, and the Episcopal Church of Sudan. A total of 500 bibles were distributed with 300 bibles in the Lingala language and 200 bibles in the Zande language.
Discipleship training was based on the following topics:
- Authority of Scripture - 2 Timothy 3:16-17
- Fellowship With God and Other Believers - 1 John 1:3
- Witnessing for Jesus - 1 Peter 3:15
- The Obedient Christian - John 14:21
