Evangelism and Discipleship Training Trip – Rokon, Laporu, Jambo, Lanyi, Wiro, Movo, Kediba, Minga, Kawari, Sudan
In July, 2009 Pastor Martin Wani and his 9 person evangelism team traveled north to Rokon, Laporu, Jambo, Lanyi, Wiro, Movo, Kediba, Minga, and Kawari, Sudan. The team left Yei, Sudan on July 19 and returned on August 17.
The results of what God did through the evangelism team are listed below:

Approximately 65% of the new believers had been animists, and 5% had been Muslims. The JESUS Film was shown in the Moru and Bari languages to mainly the Bari and Moru tribes. Follow-up of the new believers will be done by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the Sudan Pentecostal Church, and the Episcopal Church of Sudan. A total of 400 bibles were distributed with 200 bibles in the Bari language and 200 bibles in the Moru language.
Discipleship training was based on the topic of “Comfort and Hope”. Some of the verses used in this teaching were Psalms 23:1,4; 34:18; Isaiah 40:11, 54:10; Jeremiah 29:11; Matthew 28:20.
